Kimberly Kuiken is a spine specialized physical therapist with advanced
training in spine through the Paris Institute, a world-recognized manual
therapy educational institution based in Florida. Her credentials include
a Doctor of Physical Therapy and a Masters of Science in Physical Therapy (MSPT). The MTC acronym stands
for Manual Therapist Certified, which involves eight different courses
in spine, along with eight written exams and oral tests in Florida with
the Paris Institute.
In addition to her expertise with hands-on manual therapy techniques
to relieve back and neck pain symptoms, Kimberly also has training in
McKenzie therapy techniques, Mulligan therapy principles, spine stabilization
and the use of exercise therapy for spine.
Prior to joining North Jersey Spine Group as a physical therapist, Kimberly
had experience working as a Physical Therapy Director for Hoboken Integrated
Healthcare and the Physical Therapy Director for Concentra Medical Centers
where she had extensive managerial, clinical and on-site specialist
experience. Beyond Kimberly’s physical therapy training and experience,
she also is a certified in prenatal yoga and is a registered yoga instructor.
Kimberly is proficient in Spanish.
Cathy Kuschan
Spine specialized physical therapist
Cathy Kuschan has over 25 years of clinical experience. She graduated from Russell Sage College in Troy, NY with a Bachelors of Science in Physical Therapy. At North Jersey Spine Group, Cathy specializes in developing effective home exercise programs that help back and neck patients recover quickly and return to active lifestyles. Cathy is well versed in a broad range of physical therapy programs, treatments and modalities. She is proficient in patient assessment; with excellent intra / interpersonal communication skills, time management and physical therapy program execution. Cathy is committed to delivering quality spine-specialized physical therapy care to patients at North Jersey Spine Group.
Cathy has continued education in a variety of areas, including self realization through fascia, hippotherapy, bone and joint diseases, as well as the management and treatment of shoulder disorders. She uses a variety of treatment approaches depending on the needs of the individual client.
Prior to joining North Jersey Spine Group, Cathy instructed families and patients regarding home exercise programs and supervised day-to-day management of patient care. Additional responsibilities included providing evaluations and treatment to active patients after limiting injuries.
